ReadyHere is developed and published by J. Tom Slemko. It is designed to keep your information private and under your control. ReadyHere does not sell your personal information. ReadyHere does not use advertising or analytics, and it does not send your saved information to a ReadyHere server.
Information saved on your phone
Information you choose to save, stays on your phone. This can include your name, trusted contacts, friends, medications, healthcare contacts, appointment notes, reminders, lists, notes, app settings, and one parked location. ReadyHere does not create an online account or upload this information itself. Your phone’s own backup settings may also keep a copy.
Camera and pictures
ReadyHere uses the camera only when you choose to scan a code, use the text magnifier, or take a picture for a picture search. Enlarged text pictures are temporary. A picture-search picture is temporary unless you choose Save Picture to Phone. If you choose Search This Picture, the picture is passed to the app you select.
Microphone and voice input
ReadyHere uses the microphone only when you choose voice input. Your phone's speech service turns your speech into text. ReadyHere does not keep an audio recording.
Location
ReadyHere checks location only when you press a location button and allow access. It does not request background location or keep a history of where you go. One parked car or location is saved on your phone only when you ask ReadyHere to set it.
Weather
When you open Today with a saved town or community, ReadyHere requests a weather forecast unless one is already saved for that day. The weather provider receives the town name, its map location, and your internet address. This does not use your phone’s precise location. The forecast is saved on your phone for reuse that day.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, ReadyHere schedules the reminder notices you choose on your phone. ReadyHere does not send notification information to a ReadyHere server.
Backup files
ReadyHere creates a backup only when you choose Save a Backup File. The backup can contain the information and settings you saved in ReadyHere. It is protected with the password you choose. ReadyHere does not keep the password, upload the backup, or keep another copy.
You choose where to save the backup file. You can delete the backup from that location when you no longer need it.
Other apps and websites
ReadyHere passes information to another app or website only when you choose an action such as opening Maps, visiting a website, searching, opening email or Messages, opening the phone dialer, or using the Share menu. The information needed for that action is then handled under the privacy rules of the app, website, phone service, or speech service you chose. ReadyHere cannot control how those services use information.
Keeping and deleting information
You can edit or remove saved entries using the controls in ReadyHere. You can remove the app itself to delete all of ReadyHere's saved information from the phone. Pictures you chose to save to the phone's photo library and backup files you chose to save must be deleted from those locations. Information already sent to another app, website, or person must be managed there.
Security
ReadyHere limits personal information to the phone and the actions you choose. Your phone's passcode and security settings help protect information stored on it. ReadyHere backup files use password protection and authenticated encryption. No method of storing information can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
ReadyHere is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children's information through a ReadyHere account or server.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated if ReadyHere changes how it handles information. The effective date at the top will show when it was last changed.
